Presentations by AJ Zane

Presentation slides and links

I care about the web community and the awesome people who work really hard to create great tools, resources, and ideas. If my knowledge and experiences can help just one person get excited about web development, design, and/or engineering then I know I have helped to add one more great mind to the ever-expanding awesomeness that is the web.

All my presentation slides are open to the public to learn from, review, and probably make fun of when they become dated.

If you'd like me to do a presentation at your event or for your organization, contact me at androiddreams@AJZane.com or @azanebrain

Advanced WordPress Meetup The Advanced WordPress Meetup is a monthly round table session to share and learn about advanced WordPress topics. I regularly attend and contribute by helping out moderate the 10,000+ member FaceBook group. I will be sponsoring the November 2014 session.

Front End Authority "Front End Authority promotes the ongoing education of front end technologies. Part digital, part physical, we aim to bring like-minded pros and learners together to share knowledge, make connections, have some beers, and stay up to date on the constantly changing world of Front End Web Development."

Technical Intro to Ionic

I introduce Ionic (an awesome tool to make hybrid apps using HTML, CSS, and JS) from a technical standpoint, diving into how easy it is to get started, communicating with APIs, and how I used it in a hack weekend event. The second half of the slides launch into a workshop that I ran at the event, giving the group hands on experience with Ionic. If you're interested in this and also WordPress, I did a really brief lightning talk version at Advanced WordPress titled: Using WP to Power an Ionic App

These slides explore how Adobe's Edge Tools can interact in the web development community. Do they provide a useful set of features that will be used religiously? Or do they replace the need for web developers?

Intro to POSTCSS

A quick introduction to POST CSS. "The new CSS processor in the field takes everything we've learned from preprocessors like sass, LESS, and stylus and throws them out the window. AJ Zane will explore what this means for the future of our CSS workflows and if it's really up to all the hype."
